June 2023: 24 Bollards on "Artists Row" Salem, MA. entitled: "Mirabai" was designed and painted by Visual & Public Artist Indra Persad Milowe.
This recent outdoor Public Art is entitled: "Mirabai" honoring the sixteenth century Indian Poet-Saint who authored more than 1,400 poems and devotional songs.
Artist's Statement:
It is a Pedestrian Walkway titled: "Mirabai". Like my Art Box: "Kailash" in Derby Square, Salem, (Directly across from Artists' Row) I used the rainbow colors. These can not only enhance one’s visual pleasure but also have a positive effect on one’s psychological well-being. “The rainbow does so much more than provide variety and aesthetics in our universe; they inspire and delight with their inherent vibrational energies". Utilizing the energies of colors can vastly improve mood and psychological well-being:
