A delicate graphite pencil drawing of a woman's face dominates the center of the paper. The Fibonacci spiral emerges from her right eye and draws our attention to the connection between man and nature.
At the position of the fifth chakra there is a realistically drawn dragonfly.
The delicately drawn fragile and marvelous wing structure gives the impression that it is about to take off.
The symbolism of the dragonfly is that it brings the wisdom of transformation and adaptability into a person's life. It is associated with the symbolism of light and change.
In Feng-shui, it is a symbol of prosperity, happiness, strength, change, wisdom, peace, harmony... it is connected to our subconscious and dreams, and helps us become aware of our hidden thoughts and motives, and patterns of behavior that affect our life.
This is the initial first of seven stages to the finished painting.
Since the painting as such was selected for display in the gallery by the curator, I decided to leave it as it is for now and enjoy its beauty.
