In the desert, you become yourself. Jung's theory of individuation—the lifelong unfolding of the self—finds its visual echo in Sands of Becoming. This work explores the slow, unrelenting forces that sculpt identity, much like shifting dunes shaped by unseen winds. The surface, layered in gradients of ochre and gold, becomes a terrain of inner alchemy, where fragments of thought and shadow rise and dissolve.
Like mirages across a sunlit expanse, intricate networks of color suggest both movement and memory, anchoring the viewer in a space where transformation is constant but imperceptible. Sand—whether as soil, ash, or time—acts here as metaphor: for erosion, for becoming, for the soft abrasion that reveals the core beneath the surface.
This work invites contemplation on what it means to become whole—not by arriving, but by shedding, drifting, and being weathered by life’s elemental forces.
