An elegant interplay of balance and abstraction, this untitled 1999 sculpture by Ruggero Gamberini combines curved iron rods and sculpted sheet metal. The organic red form attached above the darker lower structure evokes a sense of suspended movement - perhaps a flower, a figure, an animal, or a poetic mechanism at rest. Gamberini blurs the line between lyrical gesture and mechanical form.
