Work for the exhibit at the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath Maine, July 2021.

Each painting is made by my concentrating attention on each individual shell. I clear my mind of other concerns and truly look at the expanse of the sky and sea, as well as these tiny pieces of architecture. When we walk on the beach, often we notice a beautiful shell and hold it in our pockets, even bringing it home and setting it on a windowsill. It is my intention that the paintings encapsulate the calm and focus we find when we walk along the shore. That the shells here show a place of repose. These 4"x4" paintings on board, are framed in a floater frame that hangs on the wall or stands on a shelf.

This show is opening Friday July 2, 2021, and it closes August 8. It is a two person show with my husband John. These paintings will all be for sale through the gallery.
