The Art of Rudy Rotter (1913-2001) creates a special world of people and creatures. The art is the product of the artist's 45-year exploration into the interconnectedness of humanity.

His style has been attributed to the Outsider and Self-taught genres.

For 45 years Rotter obsessively created art daily in an unheated warehouse in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, producing enough work to eventually fill three floors of a self-styled museum.

The art is unique and immediately attributable to this artist. It stands apart from the standard conventions and formal language of the art world. The artist's work is the product of his rich inner imagination, intense drive to create, and constant inventiveness.
