Sandra Brewster’s large 3-panel work, Feeding Trafalgar, 2022, is a photo-based gel transfer depicting an image of her mother feeding pigeons in Trafalgar Square in London, England in the early 80’s. As the excitable birds surround her, she is enjoying their presence. For Brewster, the photograph it references continues to resonate in terms of flight, movement, and freedom.

This print edition, "A Detail of Feeding Trafalgar", depicts a portion of the 10 ft work and focuses on her mother’s torso. It is taken from a transfer made by Brewster to further examine and enjoy the textures of the surface that change every time an edition is created.
