Portraits: Creatures Great or Small

Although his time for painting was limited during his 40- year law career, he has been concentrating fully on his art for the last eight years. He has completed the three year Master Artist Program at the Compass Atelier, and lives and works in Bethesda, Maryland.
He has had solo exhibitions at the Delaplaine Arts Center, the Arts Club of Washington, the Hill Center Galleries, the Woman’s National Democratic Club, the Signal Financial Gallery, and the Glen Echo Park View Gallery.
In the past four years, he has received over twenty-five awards for his artworks in national and regional juried exhibitions, including three “Best in Show” awards, five first place awards, five Excellent awards and numerous other awards. Several of his paintings have been selected by jurors from the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Gallery of Art, the Phillips Collection, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Athenaeum for highly selective exhibits. He has exhibited his works throughout the Washington metropolitan area and nationally at numerous juried exhibitions.
