Late in life, I discovered a deep passion for creating art. I have enjoyed slowing down, quietly observing and truly seeing the world around me. Although challenging at times, creating artwork has made each day feel more special. I have painted portraits, figures, still life and the great outdoors. I love looking for what is noteworthy and conveying my reactions through art. On this artistic journey, I have explored many different media and styles to find my voice and hope to continue on this path for years to come.
My paintings and drawings are in private collections across the United States and around the world. My artwork has been accepted into juried shows at the Yellow Barn and Clarendon Art Gallery, and displayed in member shows at the Falls Church Art Gallery, Montgomery Arts Association and Yellow Barn. I am indebted to the many talented artists who taught me to see, experiment and grow, and to my husband and sons, my sister Dorothy and my dear artist friends for all their encouragement and support along the way.
