One day my friend who loves gardening and planting flowers sent me a bouquet of flowers that she grew. I place the the flowers into a glass pot and was hoping they will last longer. However, I still see the petals falling, the leaves withering, and the branches bending. It is like the inevitably aging of life. It is the nature of the lives. But I still want to capture the moment of joy of receiving such a beautiful gift from a friend, so I painted the bunch to make the short moment an everlasting one, to record the most beautiful stage of the flowers.
