My Tyger series pays tribute to the power and intelligence of tigers. These princely predators captured my imagination as a child growing up in Bangladesh, spurred by occasional visits to the Sundarban mangrove forests, habitat of the Royal Bengal tiger. I learned to draw tigers before I could even write. I feel a dream-like connection to their minds.

This painting reflects elements of a contemporary style of abstract realism. The painting, with motifs and my signature color palette, is a link to the presence and consciousness of tigers stretching back through countless generations to the times before the earliest ancient civilizations.
