The Steelpan is a musical instrument which originated in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1900’s. Also called Pan or the Steel drum, these instruments provide music for parties, concerts and celebratory functions. The rhythmic patterns, musical repetition and harmonious notes of musicians playing the Steelpans was the inspiration for this acrylic painting on wood.
