Life moves in seasons. We love the youth of Spring and the beauty of Summer but, for some, there is an expectation that they need to remain in Summer by artificial means: surgery, makeup, and extremes in diet and exercise. They must sit still and look pretty, rather than continuing where others have gone, enjoying Fall, and then Winter, and the serenity that season brings. Because even old and broken things have a particular beauty.
