This work is part of my Warrior Women series, an exploration of the extraordinarily inspired roles, capacities, experiences and perspective of women. I periodically revisit this theme by expressing memories, visions, rage, anguish and thanksgivings with symbols on the figures that present a visual articulation reflecting my journey and life challenges. One of the works I created with Akua Inks, a series of non toxic water based inks developed by a friend, Susan Rostow. Her Akua Inks line were bought by Speedball. which is a major global printmaing supply company.
