Farmland in southern Indiana is often creased and caressed by creeks that wind their irregular ways through the fields. They're a place for livestock to drink, a place for runoff to drain away and a place for early spring ducks to rest until they reach their nesting grounds. These creeks break up the vast acreage of corn and beans and add interest to the landscape.
