The beginnings of a demo I did Tuesday for my Beginning Watercolor class at the Cultural Center of Ponte Vedra Beach - child's blocks & lemons - to illustrate seeing light forms and how the white of the paper is utilized to create those forms. Also a big lesson here is getting students to treat a painting as a whole and not a collection of individual objects - unity, unity unity! One must also be conscious of keeping shapes interesting and making good, visual marks on the paper. This painting can go further but I sort of like it in its raw, simple state.
