“I enjoy my work as an artist,” says Devine. “It’s inseparable from my involvement in our community. Being out at community events, I get the sense of support and connectedness between us. Even when we’re working on difficult social issues, being surrounded by a community of people who care is critical. The loss of being together in physical space was a great difficulty through the pandemic.”
