Artist and Patrick Henry High School art teacher Dan Kuehl uses his art to make connections with the community and encourage positivity.

“Roanoke is a vibrant city that supports the arts,” says Kuehl. “As a teacher, I’m fortunate that I get to interact closely with the school’s diverse population of students. Engaging with each other across our community is a source of constant renewal and the arts provide a great way to do it.”
