Courage
- Acrylic inkjet on canvas
- Katherine Devine
Roanoke-based Katherine Devine draws inspiration from the community of people who support her as a working artist.
Devine designed Courage to inspire herself and others to stay connected to our compassion and courage as we face the challenges of racial injustice and the pandemic during the summer of 2020. “The lion is a traditional symbol of courage,” says Devine, “and the heart woven around it reminds us that our real power is love and compassion.”
