“Scott is such an inspiration!” says encaustic artist Gina Louthian-Stanley.

Louthian-Stanley’s subject, Robert Scott Kitts, owns Roanoke’s Scott Kitts Salon, through which he sells art without charging artists a commission and promotes Roanoke’s individual artists and the arts community as a whole. In addition to supporting teaching artists by taking classes, Kitts frequently also donates works for charitable causes.

Gina Louthian-Stanley is involved as part of Market Gallery and the Studio School and is a former high school art teacher. She wants people far and near to know about Roanoke’s vibrant arts community.
