Debra Fedak is a domestic abuse survivor passionately advocating for others like her throughout the valley. Karen St. Clair Carter shared Fedak’s story in the March 2022 publication of Stroll South Roanoke. Since then, Fedak shares her story and organizes programs with other abuse survivors in order to increase awareness and empower victims.

Carter is the owner of the magazine publication, Stroll South Roanoke, in which she connects businesses with residents. She is a portrait artist with a studio at Gallery 202, and a professional pianist.
