The Executive Director of the Taubman Museum of Art since 2018, Cindy Petersen has been integral to the museum for almost 13 years. Guacheta’ says his inspiration comes from Petersen’s “dedication to art and community, and her ability to push the boundaries of what a city of our scale can accomplish and execute.” He specifically cites the recent exhibition, “From Titian to Monet” as particularly impactful to him and the valley.

Guacheta’, a Roanoke native fascinated by black and white photography, transitioned to monochromatic painting in 2021. He currently is Director of Sales and Development of Txtur, and he sits on the boards of Grandin Theater and is active with the Taubman’s 110 Society.
