The owner of Cirqulation Studio, Lynsey Wyatt took her first aerial class in Roanoke when she was 12. Now a full-time aerial artist, acrobat, and activist, Wyatt teaches a variety of skills at Cirqulation Studio, including aerial silks, flexibility, and partner acrobatics. She partners with non-profits such as Mental Health in Motion, Planned Parenthood, and Girls Rock Roanoke.
“I'm inspired by Roanoke because I feel it's possible to push boundaries, form unlikely collaborations and celebrate our uniqueness,” says the artist. “Over the years, I've seen so many people from different backgrounds create a home for themselves in this city.”
During the Year of the Artist, Wyatt has undertaken an Art Matters grant to lead a Queer Youth Aerial Arts and Activism Workshop.
