English born Michele Sons is a professional fine art landscape and portrait photographer based in Roanoke for the past 20 years. “My background in geography and environmental science, my taste for adventure, and my highly diverse and extensive travel experience uniquely position me to connect with the Appalachian landscape I call home,” says Sons.

“My goal as an artist is always to inspire a love for our natural world: to share it, to preserve and protect it, and to see ourselves out there in it. I would like to see Roanoke continue to focus on building interest in and appreciation of our outdoor resources. I think I can contribute to that effort by showcasing the sublime beauty we are surrounded by.”
