This mural depicts the famous 611 train, which was made by Norfolk & Western in 1950 and is the surviving member of the fourteen Class J locomotives. The mural was created by Andrew Williams who was commissioned by owner Charles Robertson of Robertson Home Improvement. Wanting to give back to the community, they produced the idea of depicting Roanoke scenes from the 1990s along with the Roanoke icon.
