This is a breathtaking sculpture that was inspired by the belief that we as a Nation and as a World are waking up from a deep slumber. As individuals and as societies, we must shed our cocoons and fly with the beauty and power and majesty that each of us innately has.

This piece is so beautiful in real life.  I brought her out of the studio and placed her on my living room table to see how she would feel in a living space.  She is so magnificent and bodacious in her beauty.  You will love her and she will teach whoever wakes to her unabashed self assurance ...to be rightfully where you stand.

I started with water based clay which I fired then added the cocoon and the increased majesty to the wings with a resin clay. I then painted the Patina with Golden Acrylic Paints.
