Disturbance (2024) is a record of rupture—a painting shaped by shifting energy and disorientation rather than depiction. Created on a 60 × 48 inch canvas using layered acrylics, this work from the Greyscale collection is both visceral and atmospheric. A charged field of reds, deep purples, and black is cut by abrupt gestures of white and ochre. Paint is dragged, scraped, and smeared, alternating between violence and restraint. Some areas fracture, while others soften and seal over. Made during a period of emotional and external turbulence, the painting evolved through reaction rather than plan. Disturbance asks to be felt, not interpreted.
