Collection: Antiquities Collection

The Ripon College Classical Antiquities Collection was purchased by Professor Edward W. Clark while on sabbatical leave in Italy during the 1904-1905 academic year. Clark was Professor of Latin and Roman archaeology at Ripon College from 1895 -1909. The collection includes Classical Greek, Etruscan, and Hellenistic vases. The collection also consists of several other types of objects such as wine pourers and oil containers. In addition, there are Greek, Villanovan and Iron age bronze artifacts, Roman glass vessels, about 200 Roman coins, and seven cuneiform tablets.
