This mixed medium assemblage sculpture is made of copper anklet from the Mbole people of Democratic Republic of the Congo provides shelter to a cast bronze bird and is seated in a carved, granite bowl.

These anklets were worn by men and women of the Mbole people who are considered to be part of the forest culture raising cassava, bananas, and kola nuts. It is a large copper spherical shaped ring, slightly flat and open on one side. The name of the anklet changed in respect to the diameter: Daiko- Small Ambi- Medium Ehuke- Large Batakataka- Very Large.
