A pair of sensuous carved wood sculpture representing both male and female or the two halves of a whole. The Baga snake or Bansonyi, is an African traditional headdress worn by the western tribes of Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. The curves and contours of the sculptural representation evokes the power, grace, and flexibility of these spiritual entities.
