"In this painting, there are words in several languages, illegible, or almost so, because I have modified the character that make up the words. Are they important? I would say not. I myself found a plain Hebrew word that I hadn't intended to write there—and which I find to be completely irrelevant. A usual, I prefer to leave the interpretation to the viewer."
