The Nomads Children II

These small panels are made from found wood, and alude to the portable alter pieces, still found in many houses in Ethiopia. I was inspired to make these following a visit to Ethiopia. Like much of my work although abstract they are map like and a memory of the nomad's travels, presented to his children. At the time I made these my children were leaving home and heading out into the world.
