  • Acrylic on tarpaulin

Dero is a young videographer who has the studio next to mine. This piece is about his extraordinary life and journey. Having run away from boarding school in Uganda aged 14 he kept running for six years and criss crossed Southern and Eastern Africa - with no passport but trust in the truckers and others who aided his wanderings. The work is executed on an old truck tarpaulin.
