Entanglement II Limited Edition of 8
There is a theory that all possible universes exist. The universe shown in Entanglement II is much more rigid than in Entanglement I. Here everything is very orderly, and each
singularity connects to all the surrounding singularities with a kind of cosmic paperclip.
In this universe, the boundaries sides are in the ratio of the square root of 2. The tiling uses a single tile shape, which is a square cut in half. However, it is actually a
quadrilateral, not a triangle, with two sides that are in alignment. While the same tile design will connect nicely for every tile, it will create some bends in the ribbons.
This design uses three modified designs to get a smooth flowing line across all the arrangements. This tessellation uses the same base tiling as the lizards in Escher’s 1953 Woodcut Smaller and Smaller and my own Sha Kua.
