Decagonal Limit I Limited Edition of 8
2 types of goldfish swim in a decagonal pond. As they approach the edges of the pond, they shrink by the Golden Ratio and so never run out of room. Strangely, in the centre the fish diminish too, but not to infinity.
This tiling uses a Penrose Tiling dart, but combined with a 6-sided tile which is also a combination of Robinson Triangles (as are both the P1 and P2 Penrose Tiles). This combination allows the tiling to proceed smoothly to a decagonal limit. The tiling is interesting in that it allows a large area to tile without diminishing, and then diminishes very rapidly towards the perimeter.
