Repeatedly as we visited a bakery in New Glarus, Wisconsin, I would be attracted to a very intricately designed plant across the street. I learned it was called a passionflower plant--missionaries discovered it and name it such for all the plant parts that seemed to represent to them different associations with the Trinity, the passion of Jesus, etc.
I designed the composition with that idea in mind (the bloom on the bottom as if it is being handed to us by The Divine above). This archival print has a white matte and a
simple, black, L-shaped frame.
