I was house-sitting for a friend and watering her gardens when I came across this Mother of Thousands plant with tiny little baby plantlets on the peripheral edges of each leaf. With a bump of the leaf, a tiny plantlet dislodges, drops in the soil and begins another plant, thus Mother of Thousands. The plant made me laugh and I thought of how God must have been in a whimsical mood as He designed this plant, thus the title, "God Designs While Giggling." The backlit leaves drew me in to want to capture this in a drawing, saving it's beauty beyond the season of its growth.
