When we first moved into our current home, it was the end of the Summer. I knew the previous owners gardened quite a lot, so our first Spring here was so much fun as I watched new things bloom! These irises were my favorite. Such a rich deep red up against the bright fresh Spring greens. I've painted these beauties before, but this one is the largest and I will most likely paint more!
