Lavaud is a small community just outside of Felletin. The view looking over Lavaud and out into the Plateau de Millevaches in Limousin is breathtaking.
This subject matter seemed a perfect candidate to create my 6' silk painting for the 'Salle de Marriage' at La Mairie de Felletin, France where I exhibited for the second time in two years with hand-painted silks describing the community and countryside there. I was describing the feeling of looking out into the distance and over the mountains while standing in this beautiful landscape.
