"Native in the tropics and subtropics, the coffee plant can have 30,000 to 40,000 flowers blossoming in a year. ... The beautiful flowers with 5 to 6 white petals last only a few hours and wilt as soon as fertilization has taken place."*
Isn't this a fascinating fact? The flowers are so truly delicate, they only last a few days at most.
Here I have inserted this beautiful coffee blossom in the middle of a deep red field - giving the image depth and excitement while highlighting the stamens which are so very important for the reproduction of the plant.
