There is a gorgeous trail just south of Loch Lomond in Cypress Hills, Sask. I like to take my art students their to paint. No matter what time of year you go, you can see an abundance of wild flowers. This old fallen log and the way the light and shadows played on it, attracted me. I was a Guest Artist in Residence here at the park for 3 years. I was very fortunate to have a job that required me to hike and paint the trails up to 6 weeks in each year. I also offered art classes to visitors to the park each weekend. This work includes a brushed black frame.
