Each time that I traveled to Cuba with students to instruct plein air painting techniques, we would take in various cultural activities in all the arts. I would also connect my students with Yudit Vidal Faife who lives in Trinidad, Cuba. She is one of Cuba's notable international artists. Each visit she is very gracious to shut her gallery and host my students for a tour of her home / studio with a 3rd floor open air patio and view of the Escambray Mountains and Caribbean. I think it is a highlight of the trip for my students to paint with Yudit in this setting and to talk with her about life making art. This image is on gallery-wrapped canvas.
