You know the phrase, but what if there are an abundance of lemons? More than you can handle? Eventually, you make something beautiful out of it!

Several years ago, I was having a session with an artist I was mentoring and we got onto some slightly personal subjects and how it affected our art. After I shared, she was genuinely surprised and said, "You would have no idea you went through all of that by looking at your art. I thought you'd only experienced good things because of the positivity and beauty in your art." Well, praise the Lord for doing what He does best! He ALWAYS makes something lovely out of what was once desolation.

I love the fresh feeling that painting lemons bring and the translucence that comes when light passes through the slices. Pairing lemons with the aqua plate and lighthearted fabric was the perfect combination.
