While I do love paintings man made structures being with nature is another love of mine. I always feel I can't make up my mind because I enjoy, or appreciate, both ends of the spectrum. Being outside and walking a trail helps me clear my mind. This trail is one in the Smoky Mountains, Trillium Gap Trail. My wife and I have hiked this stretch a few times. It's a great trail that will take you to the lodge on Mt. Leconte. While I was wanting to capture the beauty of hiking a trail I also wanted to let the materials remind us how cluttered our minds can be. Even while in nature we might let our thoughts be cluttered with the stresses of our daily lives.
