Big Island Beekeeper was inspired from a visit to Hawaii on my 50th birthday year. While on the Big Island we visited this apiary and were given a close up view of some hives and the beekeeper. This one was a little bit of a challenge too. I had to find a way to mimic lots of bees but without cutting hundreds of small shapes. I figured out how to find images in magazines that were busy like a bee (haha) and then I carved in some details to give even more detail of the bees.
