Rajani is thirty-five-year-old, born in Amravati (Maharashtra, India), but have lived in Pune (India) and now in England for four years. She grew up in Amravati and enrolled at university to study Engineering. However, being artist at heart she progressed to work as a 3D Architectural Visualiser rather than to work in the field of her academics. It was in Pune where she met her (now) husband and post marriage pursued her interest and completed Diploma in 3D Character Animation. When she moved to England (Southsea, Portsmouth) with her husband, her fondness in paintings elevated since living so close to picturesque location. Her inner artist was awakened as if it had been just few years from childhood when she enjoyed drawing, doodle art, painting and drawing mehndi designs. She is a self-taught Abstract Artist who have learned patiently, enjoying the process itself and learns daily from the internet community of artists. Her artwork is commissioned in Pune (India) for a prestigious Architectural firm.
As an artist I like to create some unique art by playing with all beautiful and vibrant colours. My paintings are combinations of overlapping shapes, lines, geometry and textures which ultimately leads to unusual abstraction. I paint in multiple layers of colours and shapes to bring canvas in life, for the viewers to enjoy and sense the beauty and depth of my paintings. Painting to me is an engrossing process which make me feel immensely connected to my canvas and disconnected with the outside world.
