Amatullah Haamid's artistic practice is rooted in her spiritual identity as a Dawoodi Bohra. The floral motif in her work is taken from the Qubba Mubaraka of al-Maula al-Ajal Syedi Fakhruddin al-Shaheed QR, which represents the connection between individuals from diverse backgrounds through the shared faith of the mohabbat of Waliyullah TUS. The singular flower symbolizes the presence of the Imam or al-Dai al-Mutlaq, and through their guidance, the artist blooms in her individual life. The arched door shape is inspired by Rajput architecture, reflecting the blend of traditional values adapted to the surrounding civilization. The use of various colours represents the diverse community of Dawoodi Bohras, showcasing the beauty of diversity and unity.
