A mother’s love does not arrive with fanfare. It accumulates slowly, shaped by the quiet rhythms of daily life. It finds devotion in the mundane, like the folding of clothes, the stirring of meals, the gentle repetition of rituals that shape a home. Within these small movements lies a love that asks for nothing and gives everything. It is like a womb that provides shelter, nourishment and sanctuary.
Drawing on the language of textiles, this installation honours that tenderness. Indigo-washed fragments are gathered and stitched into a single sweeping fabric, echoing the way countless small gestures become the architecture of maternal love. Every seam reminds us that love does not fear rupture; it rises each time to repair what has frayed.
Threaded through the work is the ayah فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّه—Wherever you turn, there is the Face of Allah. Here, the Divine is found not in spectacle, but in the quiet sanctity of care.
