Inspired by the Quranic concept of the Charbagh and the radiant wisdom of Ayat al-Noor, my artworks embody the harmony and balance that exist between the physical and spiritual worlds. Through intricate illumination and traditional techniques, I've created a visual representation of the divine light that illuminates the path to eternal life.
The fruit trees mentioned in the Quran – olives, figs, pomegranates, bananas, grapes, and date palms – are depicted within eight-pointed stars, signifying divine perfection and balance. The use of handmade pigments, including 24ct shell gold, 22ct moon shell gold, handmade lapis lazuli, cochineal, and malachite, adds an extra layer of depth and meaning to the artworks.
