As the believer embarks on the path to merge with Allah’s Noor (Light), the journey unfolds as an infinite loop. In the stages of love, the aashiq (Lover) and mashooq (Beloved) traverse a continuous cycle of devotion, where each end becomes a new beginning. One starts with the intention of ma‘rifat (knowing their Creator) but arrives at hayrat (a state of awe and wonder).

At the heart of the painting is the Kaaba, radiating Divine Light and inspired by the intricate arches of the Fatimid Masjid al-Jame al-Aqmar. The seven horizontal circles represent the tawaf—the ritual of circling the Kaaba—while the nine vertical circles symbolize the movement of the heavens. Together, these elements embody the believer’s enduring love, devotion, and yearning to draw closer to their Beloved Creator.
